Skyqbit Links
Give your subscribers something back.
Skyqbit Links lets a YouTube creator share a file, preset pack or template that only people subscribed to their channel can open. The creator pastes one link into a video description. When someone opens it, Skyqbit Links asks them to sign in with Google, confirms they subscribe to that channel, and sends them straight to the file. Anyone who is not subscribed is sent to the channel instead.
How it works
- A creator signs in and adds their YouTube channel, by handle or URL.
- They create a link: a name, and the address of whatever they are sharing.
- They put the short link in their video description.
- A visitor opens it, signs in with Google, and is let through if they subscribe.
What visitors are asked to permit
Only one thing: permission to check whether they subscribe to the channel that link requires. Skyqbit Links does not read their subscription list, watch history, videos or comments, and never stores their name, email address or Google account identifier — only a one-way hash, so that opening the same link twice is not charged to the creator twice.
